And Baby Boy, Makes Three! {favorite friday}

[New Mexico 2003]
I will forever LOVE this picture, and the people in it.  My! How time flies.  Cliche?  Completely.  But so very true.  Sadly, true.  Monkey Boy will be eleven next month... he'll have earned his Arrow of Light and completed his Faith in God requirements; he'll be finishing up his last year of primary school and headed into junior high.  Yikes!  And don't even get me started on the fact that Freckle Face will be starting her first year of high school.  YES - HIGH SCHOOL!!!  It's a good thing I'm not an emotional gal or I'd probably be a wreck right now.  Happy Friday, peeps... hope your weekend is fun-filled and full of great moments.

Sand From The Beach

I wish I could be on a sandy beach somewhere far away; but this will have to do for now.  We are still alive and well... just trying to find where 'normal' went while we were on Spring Break last week.  I'll be back to posting all about it, just as soon as I catch some normalcy.

Mom's Bathroom Sink {favorite friday}

[Utah 2000]

Rewind 13.25 years... Freckle Face's favorite place to hang out while mom got something worth doing accomplished.  Washcloths, running water, knobs, mouth rinse cups, toothbrushes and a mirror are all a nine-month old needs to keep herself entertained.

Doll On A Music Box {favorite friday}

[England 2007]
This was a six-year-old Bug, preparing for her very first on-stage performance as the "Doll On A Music Box" from the Disney classic "Chitty-Chitty Bang-Bang".  The dress was a gift from one of Military Man's TDY's to Germany.  The performance was for the Thetford Ward Talent Show.  The stage props rocked, with a decorated music box complete with a large turn key and a doll that became "animated" and actually spun around like a real music box doll.  In the words of Bug herself, "it was EPIC!"  This week, seven and a half years later, she's preparing for her first pageant with a schedule full of mock interviews, pageant prep classes and review boards.  Busy, busy.  We are so proud of her - she's an incredible young lady and we can't wait to see what other amazing opportunities will come her way in the future.

Happy Friday!!

Bobcat of the Month Award

Monkey Boy was selected as the Bobcat of the Month today.  This is a snap of him and his sweet teacher Mrs. Schauer-Johnson... she's fantastic - we adore and appreciate her!  This will make the fifth consecutive year he's received the award.  He actually got it twice in second grade (Owl of the Month) because shortly after we moved here and were feeling established the school needed another teacher due to the large number of students enrolled and Monkey Boy ended up switching teachers and he received the award from both teachers in consecutive months.  Actually, to brag on all my kiddos a little bit... the girls also received the Bobcat of the Month award for each year they've been here, and Freckle Face also received the Most Improved Bobcat award in fifth grade.  I sure am proud of my babies!  And I'm still in denial that Freckle Face will be in high school next year.  HIGH SCHOOL.  Yes, this is gonna happen... and quicker than I wanted it to.

I {heart} Just Foolin' Around - That Time Of Year Again

It's that time of year again... time for some silly photos with friends.  This is not a fund raising year for Red Nose Day, so instead, we'll be using the money raised to update our props and supplies for the next event.  If you're in the Tucson area and want to participate, visit the link HERE to register for our Rancho Sahuarita dates.  I'm happy to add more dates and locations if we have enough interest in the Madera Highlands, Marana, Rita Ranch and Vail areas.  Get in touch with me to set something up, and THANKS AGAIN for all your support.

Happy weekend!
