Donations Please!

We need your help!  We are collecting "Box Tops for Education" and can tabs for two very important purposes.  The Box Tops are for the kids' schools here... and every little bit helps!  As you may know there are far more retired elderly residing here than young families, and this makes tax disbursement sparse when it comes to the schools receiving funding.   Box Tops may be found on a number of brand products including: General Mills, Betty Crocker, Hanes, Ziplock, Hefty, Green Giant, and many more. The can tabs are for the Ronald McDonald House (rmhc.org), specifically for the Tucson Chapter.  We've had many wonderful experiences here with service and friends in need.  This is a simple way to donate, where every little bit counts.  Let me know if you're able to keep a collection of these small items that would otherwise just be going to waste.  I can give you our mailing information and the kids will be able to add to their donations here through the school system for both collections.

With much appreciation,
Jess

Christmas Break, Geocaching With Friends

The kids are really getting into this Geochaching thing.  I'm sure I'll have many more pictures to share from these adventures in the future.  For now... the cold, dead winter desert with have to do for scenery.

Christmas Morning

I love that they're not too old to still be excited about opening gifts on Christmas morning.
Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve Exchange

The kids were excited about being able to exchange their gifts with each other the night before Christmas.  After opening their gifts they collectively concluded it would be best to go to bed early as that would make Christmas morning come sooner.

Winter Parade // Sahuarita Town Hall

Freckle Face was invited to represent her youth group from church at the first annual Sahuarita Winter Parade last weekend.  Did you notice her in the blue cap holding the "Faith in Every Footstep" sign?  It has been a long time since we've been to or participated it a parade, and we haven't had such an event since moving here... it was a nice way to spend a Saturday morning.  I'm sure Santa was cookin in that suit here in the 80*F AZ heat!

Happy Thursday!!! - Jess

Winter Music Concerts

Buggy and Monkey Boy both performed in their schools' Winter Music Concerts this week.  Buggy played the violin in the SMS advanced orchestra and sang in the choir.  Monkey Boy played the flute in his first public performance in the SIS 5th grade band.
So proud of my babies!

Moon Tree // U of A Campus

The kids have been obsessed with this whole geo-cache thing.  Although the Moon Tree at the UofA isn't a part of any geo-cache, they have been wanting to see it ever since their dad told them about the moon trees, so we stopped by the space museum along the way to another geo-cache around campus.
Another tick off the bucket list!

Happy Friday!!!

Bull Springs Trail // Southern Arizona

Thanksgiving weekend was beautiful in southern AZ.  Took the top off the Jeep, tee shirts and sunglasses, water and snacks, guns and ammo loaded in and we were ready for some off-road fun.

Cheers!
