Little Chapel of the Flowers {mobile monday}
This is the chapel we were married in sixteen years ago. We were passing through a couple of weeks ago so we stopped by to snap a couple of pics with the iphone.

Hooray For The First Monsoon Storm Of The Season
I stepped out onto the front porch to take these - moments before the downpour hit. The rain is a tremendous blessing for all who dwell in this beautiful desert. I am happy that it's "that time of year again"... hopefully I'll have more (interesting) monsoon photos to share with you over the next month or two.

Farewells + Reunions {favorite friday}
[Summer 2008 - England]
We're elated to hear that some of our dearest friends will be moving here this coming fall. It's been too long, and we have missed them dearly. This picture was taken at their farewell barbeque six years ago... my, how everyone has grown!!!

And Baby Boy, Makes Three! {favorite friday}
[New Mexico 2003]
I will forever LOVE this picture, and the people in it. My! How time flies. Cliche? Completely. But so very true. Sadly, true. Monkey Boy will be eleven next month... he'll have earned his Arrow of Light and completed his Faith in God requirements; he'll be finishing up his last year of primary school and headed into junior high. Yikes! And don't even get me started on the fact that Freckle Face will be starting her first year of high school. YES - HIGH SCHOOL!!! It's a good thing I'm not an emotional gal or I'd probably be a wreck right now. Happy Friday, peeps... hope your weekend is fun-filled and full of great moments.- Jess

Mom's Bathroom Sink {favorite friday}
[Utah 2000]
Rewind 13.25 years... Freckle Face's favorite place to hang out while mom got something worth doing accomplished. Washcloths, running water, knobs, mouth rinse cups, toothbrushes and a mirror are all a nine-month old needs to keep herself entertained.

Military Man's Homecoming
My friend Josie, of Be Encouraged Photography was kind enough to come photograph our special reunion last month. Here's a few of the images she captured for us. The mustache story goes like this: I told him he couldn't come home with a mustache, so when he landed in the States and joined a commercial flight, he picked up some fakies at the airport kiosk... and had the children surprise me with their own mustaches!
Happy Veterans Day to all those who've served and continue serving. And may God bless their families at home who also sacrifice for their service.
XOXO - Jess

National Flag Day
This is our flag - waving in the welcomed breeze this afternoon.
I had to snap a shot of those clouds because they are the first we've seen in weeks. The temperature has been triple digit degrees for three straight weeks... we cannot wait for monsoon season to come!
Happy Friday and Flag Day!
XOXO - Jessica
